Setting the NASA ST2 track record

“Rockland Standard Gear’s Tranzilla Magnum 6-speed gearbox played a key role in setting the NASA ST2 track record at Pitt Race, and helped me win my past SCCA  Kryder Regional and V8 Stock Car North GT-1 championships. The RSG special close-ratio gear set provides the perfect gear spacing for my LS1-powered 2003 Mustang. The shift quality and reliability are just amazing. Thanks Rockland!”

We couldn’t be more satisfied with RSG

RSG's Tranzilla custom transfer case was the ONLY choice for “Project Land Bruiser”, our LS3-powered ’88 Land Cruiser. With 430hp on tap and weighing more than 4,000 pounds, we needed a custom unit that adapted to the GM O.D. transmission, yet could hold up to the off-road and acceleration tests we had in store for this vehicle. RSG built us a custom right-hand-driove Dodge 6-pinion planetary, heavy duty chain, synchro-shifting unit. RSG also helped us adapt the Dodge unit to the GM trans. We couldn’t be more satisfied with RSG’s expertise and service.

Thank you so much for your help and patience

My Dodge Power Power Wagon 4x4 Tranzilla 6-speed and transfer case conversion is finally complete. It is everything that I had expected – the ratios and gear spread are perfect for my application. I now have the best of both worlds on- and off-road, and the vehicle stretches out through the gears perfectly. Thank you so much for your help and patience, I am a details person and know I can sometimes be a pain. Attached are photos of the completed project and the Tranzilla components mounted in place. Again, thanks so much!

Transzilla: Delivers Power, Takes Abuse

I just wanted to comment on my experience with RSG. I had researched T56 transmissions that could hold a lot of power and abuse. I called an RSG competitor and they told me that they couldn't upgrade my transmission, but they had a new one that could hold the power I needed. Only cost $4,695 with my tranny as a core - I also called a couple other places and they all had the same stories. George at Rockland Standard Gear worked closely with me through multiple emails and phone calls to build the right tranny for my car. He is very knowledgable and knows his facts. I appreciate the time and effort he put into this build.

Thanks — Eric

I can’t stress how great your gearboxes are

Got out to Summit this past weekend.  Bettered my best by nearly a full second.  Got fourth overall both days to Ex GT1 and Ex ARCA cars, making 2x my power level.  Had great weather and was able to drive it on the trailer so that’s success.  I can’t stress how great your gearboxes are, just awesome.

Another happy customer writes us:

Decided mid week that since SCCA was only running Sunday that I’d go to Summit Point for NASA race on Saturday. Ran within 4 tenths of my best lap there, won class was 2nd overall to a Corvette making 2x my horsepower so I was pleased. Loaded for home, another 5 hours of sleep, then off to PittRace. Ran my best lap there in morning practice 1:01.6, good enough for pole in the race, was leading and pulling away when a lower ball joint snapped in T3 went for a little ride but made it back to pit lane. Towed me to garage, I had parts to fix, thrashed made race 2 started in the back, led lap 1 and lapped the field… still a nice little comeback.

Thanks Rockland Standard Gear!
